Description
First of all, thank you so much for all your comments on my 11th Doctor Who portrait :) Glad you liked him.
I haven't really finished any paintings as of late, mainly because I always get interrupted by work and other trivial stuff. But also because I've done a lot of digital paintings within a very short period of time, and a lot more than what I've posted both here and anywhere else. So I decided to take an official break, which I announced, and then I started this painting of Grace Kelly and finished it in a few days :p
However, I'm busy designing jewellery too, so I'm still doing the painting whenever I get a chance only.
This painting I decided to do in a more painted style so to speak. I've upgraded to Photoshop CS5 and I have to say that I love the new features which are aimed at digital painting. The new brush tool that acts like a real brush is great to work with :D
One day I might just step away from my obsession with details in my paintings and make something that looks like a real oil painting too. Who knows.
Thank you again for stopping by both here and earlier :D Hope your summer isn't too hot or too rainy :) Everything is great in moderation, you know :)

Another stunning portrait! It's all in the details - nothing wrong with obsessing with the right things... Maybe you can compromise - obsess with the details, then play with the results in PostworkShop (great program - I'm sure you'd do incredible things with it).

WOOOW Christa, This is so darn beautiful. Fantastic, how good you are at making hair and eyes. Did you really paint her all in B/W. That is most difficult to do.? WOW you are good.

OMG This is simply stunning I love it.....I bet if you auctioned it off at some big place like Soethby's it would bring you in some oodles of $$$$ Normally I am not that fond of black and white images but this is a looker......so I have to re-scind on that one now... This looks like she could still be alive in this portrait.....I am really taken with this image.........will come stroll through your gallery more, but it is late here in Ky,,,I have a bad migraine and had to get up and take my pain pill anyway...I have bone cancer so usually stay up late and read but behind on my mail thinking I would get caught up..........but scanned the gallery a bit and so glad I did....and so glad I ran across this image........ Love it...love it..Would get a good 10 stars from me if we still gave those out so here is my version of 10 stars,** Nice to meet you and do hope you visit me in my gallery as well This is def a fav Hugs Susan~
