Description
I haven't put anything up here for a while, so I wanted to let everyone know I am still around. This is part of a project idea in action shots, I quickly put these together for the poses. Any ideas on improvements are always welcomed.
Thanks for taking the time to look..

When it comes to believable action: The spear womans attack is way of. The attack is easily avoided by simple ducking and her whole body is a free target for the sword woman. Also the pose of the spear womans arms is awkward. The sword womans defense or attack (a bit difficult to determine) is also wrong in terms of combat. She is already past the point of the spear and with the spear woman in an awkward position any sword fighter would go for the body. Like the arm pit, where there are arteries, or the stomach area, where there is soft tissue and no risk of getting your blade stuck. When it comes to looking at it as a picture only, there is drama, but in these fast movements fighters make, hair would be "flying around". There is not really that much action in their poses. The spear fighter should hold the spear pointing at the center of body of the sword fighter to take advantage of the longer reach and to parry any attack. The sword fighter should through finting bring the spear point so far out of the centerline, that an attack is possible at the hands/arms of the spear fighter. That brings quite a different action.

Helleshoi was very explicit. We need more full involved comments like his. Characters are very good I think. Rest I am too inexperienced to be able to advise in detail..
