Thena asked,"You're fidgeting? I thought Cyclops machine-life folks DIDN'T fidget!" Sunshine sighed,"Most Cyclops don't act as stupid as I did! My mommy...MOM warned me about acting stupid around Prince and I practically ran right to him and acted as stupid as possible! I just wanted Prince to look at me. I don't want my mom to hate me for being STUPID!" Thena shrugged. "Your mom won't hate you. Heck, part of the mess isn't even your fault. I'd like to know WHY you had a 'stored clothing duty-uniform!' That was just crazy weird to have your clothes disappear in front of us!" The door to Violet's quarters opened and Rose and Violet came out into the corridor. She stopped and snapped,"Sunshine! WHERE DID YOU GET THAT DRESS?" Sunshine froze and started shaking. Violet said,"Seems like the twerp did something you told her NOT to!" Thena exclaimed,"Commander Rose! It wasn't her fault! She was wondering about some new protocols or such she found in her mind and started the 'store clothes' and caused her clothes to vanish off of her! This outfit was the first thing she was able to appear out of thin air! She got her clothes back on ASAP!" Sunshine turned around and bowed deeply,"I'm sorry for being so stupid! Please don't hate me!" Rose blinked. "WHY would you think I'd hate you for finding out you have a Hyperspatial-Storage-Device? First time I used mine, I was embarrassed,too. I'm shocked you have an Altha-Krommium uniform in your HSD. You evince some real guilt. This isn't about this strange outfit, isn't it?" Sunny burst into tears. "I flashed Prince! I'm sorry! You warned me not to do anything stupid and I did anyway!" Rose came over and hugged Sunny. She said to her youngest daughter,"I don't hate you. I shouldn't have gone back to sleep without giving exact instructions to your father to pass to the rest of the family! I should have checked for any Hyper-frames or storage devices or such! I should be the one sorry." Violet asked,"Mom? WHY would Sunny have an Altha-Krommium uniform for a 'Retaliator'? OR a HSD? This goes beyond just saving his son, if Azreal is responsible!" Rose said,"I'm not sure what a Retaliator even IS! It's an obsolete term for the last version of the AK language I have." Violet shrugged,"It's a stressed-space effector that gets plugged into the Challenger's bridge through an amplifier. She can also wear an 'Off-ship uniform' that can stop teleports or phasing from Sub-space'! HEY! She's wearing an Anti-Great Enemy weapon's uniform!" Rose rolled her eye."Well that's just great! I REALLY feel like beating that masked man,now!" Thena tried to lighten the mood and commented,"I like your hair. It looks better than it did." Rose shrugged."It came out better than I hoped after I broke my brush." She hugged Sunny tighter. Thena saw the stress and worry in Rose's face for a moment, and it vanished. Rose let go of Sunny and said,"I need to examine Sunny for any other surprises. I think she has a Hyper-frame,too. So I have no idea what's going on,now. Thistledown explained Aldus' speculation, but it doesn't sound as likely with these revelations, now." Thena hugged Sunny,"We'll talk tonight. You need some advice from someone who is there NOW!" Rose smiled at her and said,"Friends are family we choose to associate with that we aren't related to us by blood. You are a good sister to my Sunshine!" Thena tried not to grin like an idiot and blush, but failed miserably. She giggled and nodded and started to leave and turned to Violet and asked,"By the way--what's up with that outfit?" Violet smiled,"It's a gift from a ...friend!" Sunshine exclaimed,"You--YOU got a BOY-FRIEND?" VIolet snarled,"You want another sock in the head,midget?" Rose asked,"You punched her in the head?"
