Description

Yeah, the gr. Canyon was only a stump in decay. Suddently one morning I found the usually stump for drinking water, for animals, like this. Time has done its business. Well time AND something else. if you look in FULL SIZE you will see a lot of holes and corridors. I wonder what made them. The holes are atleast 8-10mm wide. Are you interested to see, why I talk about Canyon, click here Have a beautiful week. We have sunny and cool weather, this morning, but warm enough to sit outside and have breakfast. Kids are with grandpa, shopping and I make coffee and boil eggs and "so on" ....SO ON is uploading LOL! Thank you so much for viewing and commenting on my previous post and special warm thanks go to those, who added it to their favorites. :)

What a shot! I love it, especially since I know a partial reason behind those mysterious holes! Yep. Bench biters! And ants...and burrowing worms...and more bench biters! I've taken to calling woodlice "bench biters" quite commonly now! Hmmm...this reminds me, I have to snap more shots of them, now that the weather is tolerable! Well, it was tolerable today: who knows what tomorrow will be like!? I love this shot and the whole idea of what must be living IN that wood...and yeah, as a child with woodlice in a terrarium, such pieces of wood always made the enclosed landscape look wonderfully alien! Thank you for bringing back that memory and for showing such a marvelous picture. Funny, too, because the water pan looks almost like a strange sort of fungus! I love that. The light and shadows are excellent!

Good to see the bowl didn't break. Looking at the stump reminds me, I've been neglecting my shroom shots. ;) Excellent capture!

I'm glad you got time to post today, and I would never have guessed your canyon was a tree stump.
