Description

Processed through photoshop to change the exposures, then through photomatix to generate a HDRI image and then photoshop again. I know I should keep things simple, but this was an experiment.... EDIT - Straightened horizon line...originally was massively...wonky My favourite word. Hehehe

Thankyou both so much :) The beach was at the tip of a spur of land in Cornwall, which was dotted with about 6 beautiful beaches. Highly recommend a visit to Cornwall too, it looked fantastic even when it rained!

Your capture at full size reveals its fabulous colours and this special light at sunset: truly splendid and outstanding photography.

I too am off to Cornwall soon, looking forward to some photo opportunities. Lovely exposure and i really like the reflections on the wet sand. The horizon needs straightening though :-)

Hahaha, so it does!!! To DMFW and Paul, enjoy Cornwall. If you're staying out in the country, try waiting till the moon goes down on a clear night. I did once, the sky was so clear and dark that I could see the band of the milky way trailing across the sky. Makes you stop and stare.

Beautiful image. The hill range acroos the bay adds to the depth. I wouldn't want to live anywhere else. The work you did on this is so worthwhile. ^=^

Your postworking process has created an art-like finish in it's textures, lighting and details. My one critique is that the horizon could do with straightening as this was unfortunately, the first thing I noticed however, it doesn't detract from a beautifully serene shot ..... you have to love the British coastline :-) xxx
