Description
Hi Guys. Finnished the new HammerStein model.
But I thought about how I could get it to look like the old original illustrators work. The styles I used to emulate when I was a kid in the 70's and 80's.
So I went for black and white shaders with some heavy fractal bumps and harsh lighting.
I think it has worked out as a cross between Frank Miller, Mike Mignola and Kev Walkers work.
Modelled with Ampai D7 and Carrara 8Pro.
Thanks for looking and good luck with your latest projects.

OOOOoooh!! Definitely looks like classic ink work! I am a fan of all the guys you mentioned and this really fits in with their styles! Terrific job.

Awesome cartoon artwork!

Excellent cartoon look! Only those gradients ... Sure, you did a great work with the shaders, but a simple threshold in postwork would yield a real black and white ink work ...

Excellent stuff. I have to say I prefer the early ones where they looked like robots like this one does. Was never a fan of the Simon Bisley ones.

Excellent.
