Description
While I personally do not care for clowns. this group have a special place in my heart. I was born a full cleftlip and palate. the Shriners, in conguction with the University of Washington and the Children's Orthopedic Hospital, provided the necessay corrective surgery needed. I owe a big debt of gratitude to all those fine people

clowns never bothered me our cousins and nephews were always involved in the childrens circus in Peru Indiana so I have good memories of clowns and circuses. Great dedication.

excellent photo capture and tribute! i had three facial operations in 2006 and looked like a freak b4 and for about three months after, took sdome time to heal but betr now! i can definetly relate!:)*5

An excellent capture and I love clowns, not that I have seen many in my life but I have always had happy memories of them. I love the old fire engine too.

Clowns or no clowns - we all have to take our hats off for the Shriners. They have a fantastic burn center in Boston. They do amazing things for kids and adults. Thank you for bringing them to our attention Mike. Dana

My dad was born that way too in 1927, and then there was no help for that, but the docs did fix him up some how, he didn't have the lisp, but he did talk a little nasal, but not bad. He had this huge scar on his top lip, but that was just part of my daddy, God rest his soul! great shot Mike, and dedi!

I admire them also Mike, heck, after what happened to my son I admire so many people such as these folks...when we were kids every year we went to the Shrine Circus through the school cuz my parents couldn't afford it...was some of the best times in my life.
