Description

Under the ancient fortress, is a secret lake. ONly the sorceress and the swans know the hidden way in. Tommorrow is my birthday and I am having a hard time with it. I do not want to grow old gracefully! I still feel like a teenager. I can't imagine why time has speeded up as I grow older, but the years fly by. My babies are now adults on their own, my husband is ready to retire, and quite frankly, it scares me. Oh, to be 21 again and know everything I know now. Wishful thinking of many people. Thank you for your comments! I look forward to them!!!!!!

Well, sorry for the belated birthday greetings. I know what you mean, I still think of myself as I did in my 20's so it is hard to believe that so much more time has gone by. After a certain age, we are ALL younger inside than our bodies will allow us to be. Take the time to find something significant to do in your new season of life - find a good cause and volunteer, take the art class you've never seemed to have time for, travel, find old friends and reconnect - you are in a unique position to do things you could not do before! Lovely image - although I couldn't help but remember a certain laundry room mishap a few years ago LOL!

WOW! Your artwork is SUPERB! It's not a wonder you get so many comments! This too is gorgeous! Love the water! As to growing old ... I know what you are going through. I will be hitting 50 in October! That really SUCKS! I too feel no older than say ... 20 in my mind. The years have flown by faster and faster as I get older. Well, let's hope there is more to come and that it is better than what we have now. If so, I say let's get this dance over with and move on. : )
