Description

I think that this brings new meaning to the phrase – houseboat. I noticed it this hazy morning, floating on the Annisquam River, Gloucester, Massachusetts. Thanks for stopping by, taking a look and for all your previous favs and comments. They are very much appreciated. Dana

Wow, it looks like such an anomaly floating out there in the middle of the river. Very cool photograph and I really like the total contrast and the texture of the water, Dana!

This is NOT what I want in a house boat. This is a floating house. But you got a great shot here. I recently became aware of floating communities on a visit to Oregon. This is what I saw, only in large communities. I don't think I'd be as happy here as on a nice one-story, 3 room house.

Wow, looks like it was in a flood and survived. How weird this is. Great find and capture. Aloha

What would of been the cats meow would of been an attached garage for driving the boat in and out instead of docking it to it...One good thing is no grass to mow...lol.. -Will-

One would wake up quickly if you stepped out that door first thing in the morning!

There's a large houseboat community in Marin County--just north of the Golden Gate Bridge. I've never seen one that actually looked like a house--but I wonder what happens when it gets windy? Seems like it must be just a tad unstable. Still, a great fine!!

I have seen houses built over the water on pier like structures, but never anything like this. The story about this one must be interesting.

I would miss a flowerpot or to. It would give some colour to the house. Anyway an amazing shot !
