well its a treat for me ..Ive never seen one of these ever in my life .. I was photographing and thinking ( I cant see without glasses on too well ) ..this is strange ..its a really light yellow Monarch butterfly ...when I got home and checked my photos out then I saw the belly of yellow and black stripes ... I didnt know what it was so I checked google for it and found out ... I think they are so pretty .. the caterpillar for these butterflies are really cool also . . it looks like they they have eyes lol

Ain't nature grand, when it isn't biting you? This is a rare treat, indeed. I don't think I've ever seen one of these up close and personal, and you did a great job in capturing it! I love the crisp details and the colors...I think in this case it's the details that are getting my attention the most, but that's also because an insect is involved! I have to say that the colors are quite lively, and that's never a bad thing...I like the balance of warmer, rich tones and that kind of dreamy green with hints of yellow. Very nice!
