Description
Lord Glaen strode into the office and said,"I bear a dire warning for your crew AND terrible news. First the warning. A comrade of mine named Obeth is heading here to 'MEET' as in TAKE one of your crew. He's been something of a joke over the years, even if he is powerful. Over the years we have eliminated almost all mental disorders from my species, but some still slip through. Obeth is obsessive/compulsive and fixated on Cyclops. Until we encountered the Species of Machine-life Cyclops on your ship had thought them a fantasy."
"When he saw saw one of your crew helping rescue people in Tapponok high-orbital, He became swept away in emotion. The glass green one with full lips and white hair? He's on hi way for her. He'll kill any non-Erhlutian who gets in his way. He will fly into a jealous rage if he finds any boy-friends or husbands. That might result in many deaths. He is still free because he has powerful relatives on our ruling council."
Dokka shook his head and remarked,"That might be NO problem,NOW! She isn't a Cyclops anymore! I thank you for the warning, but we had an intruder last night that altered the physical nature of several crew members. He gave Snowflake a PAIR of eyes, and aged others of the crew."
Glaen narrowed his eyes. "Did ANYONE SEE this intruder?"
Dokka nodded. "Yes, We even have an image of him." Dokka punched the image of Azreal up on his screen. "This is from the one who saved your friend,Abaddon."
Glaen stepped back a step and gasped in horror. He swallowed. "Abaddon said his father had been here. THAT was the terrible news. I have never seen him so recently. The Angel of Death stalks your ship. He is a harbinger of terrible times ahead. What do you know of him?"
Dokka shrugged,"Very little. His name is Azreal. He has three sons. Apollyon, who you and Abaddon faced recently. Abaddon is his adopted son. His youngest son was named Ambrosius. He was a project manager for the Altha-Krommiums on something terribly top-secret. That would make him at least four million years old. Minimum. What do YOU know of him? ANGEL?"
Glaen smiled tightly as he looked over his shoulder at Jalisco silently guarding him. Glaen said,"Considerably more. He is the last of his species. Look at the oldest image we have of him. This is 'Judgement at Liddith'. It's from the Naga. It predates their civilization."
Dokka said,"Wait a moment! They've had technological civilization for over 980 MILLION years! According to what they tell every one!"
Dokka scanned the image into the computer data-base. He asked,"Jalisco, may I call Sunshine in here?"
He nodded and said,"I won't let anyone harm my little sister. Go ahead, sir."
Glaen looked at Dokka and said,"You never said he was Altha Krommium and now anticipate my wanting to see the person who saw him. Indeed, the Scourge are wise to fear you!"
Dokka kept a poker face as Sunny came in. She was trying hard to smile and look pleasant and not terrified. Glaen scanned her. After a moment he manifested the image of Azreal again and asked,"Is this the man you saw this morning?"
She nodded and said with a false looking smile,"Yessir, Lord Glaen."
He asked with irritation in his voice,"What secret 'magical' powers do you really hold? HOW did you see him when BILLIONS of other sentients NEVER did! You would have to have experienced non-linear time or have been taught to separate your senses like that!"
She nodded,"Sure. Starshine taught me!" She stopped smiling.
"Who or what is Starshine?"
Dokka groaned and sighed. "She is one of the Children of Abel we recovered from the Boneyard worlds."
Glaen stopped shocked. "I'll spare you my exclamations of how impossible that is. Not even Azreal's People of the Golden Disk ever managed THAT! No wonder he's interested in you all."
Dokka asked,"What's he up to?"
Glaen looked at Sunny,"Have HER ask Abaddon. He might tell her."

Ahhh well... That does answer a LOT of questions! So Azreal is one of the Peoples of the golden disk huh? Now if the race of Abel are stranded (or anchored) outside linear time, and Azreal can go outside linear time as he chooses... an he talk to or interact with the race of Able? You know outfit wise. i think Azreal is the coolest in the group. I love his head gear, clothing... And the red and gold colors! Excellent!!!

Wonderful image and the story is getting really intense

Ayup. Now, will he still want his chosen collectible Cyclops or will he go for another? Or, will he try for the whole set. At the rate they're changing, it's a limited time offer. :)

An obsessive/ compulsive Erhlutian! Just what Dokka needs to round of a really lovely day! I'm rather fond of Kael, so I hope he losses his infatuation when he looks snowy in the eyesss. So they are pretty sure now that Azreal is the manipulator of the changes? What was Starshine's anchor chain and how did it get broken. It was broken when she first left the graveyard planet, long before she got her body, right? Has Azreal been trying to figure out how it was done since he first talked to Sunny? Azreal is the last of the People of the Golden Disk, or at least the last that Glaen knows about. What is his wife I wonder. I'm sure Sunny was thrilled with Glaen's suggestion. Wonderful images of Azreal! Jalisco is keeping Glaen well and truly in his sights! Sunny is sashaying in pretty good. She looking rather mature in her new outfit!
