Aranée knew little about weddings and again asked Mubela for help. She was shocked to learn Mubela and Bellikor were leaving on a secret mission in less than two weeks.
Aranée was crushed - she could not marry without her "sister", and could not wait either. Mubela assured her it would be done before she left and preparations commenced at a dizzying pace. Aranée wanted a small ceremony on the terrace where Galen first kissed her, but found this was unacceptable due to the number of people expected to attend. She settled for a modest ceremony in the grand dining hall.
The wedding had thoroughly captivated the populace and people arrived from throughout Jobil lands. Aranée knew how to take care of herself from her gala experience, but the wedding itself would have been a disaster if not for Mubela. True to form, the dark elf woman skillfully shepherded the affair until all was finished at the appointed time.
And so at last the day arrived and it seemed as if the entire country packed the hall. A beaming Lord Jobil performed the ceremony with touching words and a golden cord symbolically binding their wrists. Then he presented the newly united couple to the crowd amidst applause and cheers.
Jobil raised a hand. "Friends we have known Aranée for but a short time yet it is clear she possesses great intelligence, compassion and courage. She is a skillful hunter, yet wisely conserves her forest home and treats its creatures with respect. She unhesitatingly brings justice and aid to people in need." Quiet assent emanated from the crowd. "Accordingly, we appoint her Constable of Jobil Lands. She is not a Jobil citizen and has no specific assigned duties- but this is NOT an honorary title. She has full authority to act in our name within Jobil Lands." Polite applause and murmurs punctuated his declaration.
He turned to Galen, gently embraced him, and then faced the crowd with a fatherly arm around his shoulders. "Many times, on many occasions, we have proclaimed Galen as the son we never had. This was not an idle statement." He turned to look directly at Galen with moist eyes. He addressed him in a low voice thick with emotion.
"I... I am the last of my line without heirs. And so, let this be officially recorded on this occasion, testified in an official document to be ratified by my own hand: That on this day I formally accept Galen Terue as blood of my blood, kin of my kin. I freely and lovingly give to him all rights of inheritance and succession... to all that I have... to my throne... to all Jobil Lands."
With raised brows, a stunned Aranée looked at an equally stunned Galen as the hushed crowd smattered into a growing crescendo of applause.

This scene is not exactly what I had in mind but I am gated by my present Carrara skill level. I didn't want to delay the story any longer, so here it is.
Sorry for not being around, check my homepage for an update - I will catch up on your galleries as I can...

A wonderful and delightful scene and an equally lovely storyline! I just had a look at your update too - sounds like you are having a lot of fun! Your Carrara work improves with every image, and I believe already better than most people's DS images - keep up the great work - and looking forward to seeing how the story develops from here!

Well so the story starts again and it's a good one. It sounds like you are taking advantage of other things that life has to offer and that is so good to see. It sounds like your characters are also about to undergo some big changes. I am empathetic as to how challenging it can be to keep a long running series on keel. Looking forward, as always, to how this unfolds.

Nicely done, you skill level is growing nicely. Lighting is nice ona the composition/staging is really good! I found when doing my series, KOR, that as I progressed, I found better ways to do things as well. I am sure you'll do likewise, finding it easier to express what you envision! Nice job on this one!!

Glad to see the story moving again, and with such improved clarity! The move to Carrara has really paid off! This is an excellent image! Love the lighting and the detailed background. The textures all really "pop". And, no more need for LL! The story line is most romantic, as well. They didn't waste any time "tying the knot" did they? And they look so splendid in their wedding attire. And, just to shock us all, a lovely little bombshell at the end. Nicely done!
