Hi, my name is Margie, and I am very happy to be here. Thank you to everyone that has favorited me as an artist, and who has favorited an image. I also appreciate all of your comments, and if you have critique, well, I am always trying to learn something different and new.
Now just a little bit about me...
I am a 45 year old wife of 25 years, mother to 2 grown daughters, and granny to 2 grandbabies.
I am originally from Texas, I was born there, and lived there for 39 years. I have been here in WA since 9-10-01, (yep, the day BEFORE that famous day). I love it here, I do miss somethings about Texas, like the bluebonnets in spring, along HWY 175, between Kemp and Kaufman, and going swimming in April at Fairfield State Park, and more. BUT (and that is a BIG BUT), I do NOT miss the HEAT! I really like the fact that we only have a few days a year that gets to 90 degrees.
I have a few hobbies I enjoy, I like a few yarn crafts, raising herbs, but I guess my biggest one is making stuff for the computer, like desktop themes and screensavers, I have a website Themes By M.E., if you want to see what I do.

I used to sneak into the attic and wind up the ol' 78rpm victrola and play "Call of the Wild Goose" (known today as "The Good, The Bad, and the Ugly" and "Cool Clear Water" by The Sons of the Pioneers. Even when the little 45 players were all the rage. Great image.

WONDERFUL trip down MEMORY music Lane! (I had a PLASTIC VINYL record player like that above. My FIRST ever store bought record was by the Beach Boys, DO IT AGAIN. I wore that and a number of old 45's out. Literally. WINK. I also remember fondly my late father playing his 78 rpms all the time. As I entered my college days, I enjoyed the LP's, 33 1/3rd vinyl albums of which I have many still to this day. Luckily, I bought a diamond needle stereo phonograph a number of years back which I dust off a few times each year.

Excellent song of choice for the subject; it marked quite a turning point in history, much like the debuts of Elvis and Nirvana. Great composition, well done!
