Hi, I'm Marilyn. Â I've been posting here on RR for a few years now and thought it was time to update my profile. Â It's been wonderful learning so much from the amazingly talented people here. Â I've had the chance to meet many in person and some have become great and good friends. Â Starting with a Kodak Brownie camera when I was about 7 or 8, moving up to Instamatics, Polaroids, then the Pentax K1000 that really got me on the way, I've been looking at the world thru a lens for a long time. Â Got the bug honestly; my dad was a photographer and gave me the gene!! Â Digital changed the world and I jumped in with both feet. Â You would've gone thru 100's of rolls of film in one day the way we can shoot and delete all day long. Â Progess...it can be awesome sometimes.
At any rate, RR rocks, the talent is over the top and I'm just gonna keep on shooting!!
Thanks for looking and keep those cameras rollin'!!
peace.....marilyn

Perfect. You write haiku, so it's really no surprise to me that you'd photograph one too! WOW! I'd say something in 17 syllables, but nothing really comes to mind, so I'll just enjoy this image instead. This is fantastic. That and I love the fact that this rock looks like it's floating. WOW!

What makes this interesting to me is how you have captured the ripples radiating out from the rock. Well done. Thats a beautiful reflection at the top right too matey!

Stellar transistion of white to dark blue in this capital composition, M! Although seemingly inanimate to our eyes, the rock is busy sending out messages of peace and quiet in the form of ripples.

Harry is right - the power of this capture is the gradual transition of the color into cobalt blue. Dana
