2 - 4D Artist. I do it all! Or at least try to...BIOI am a traditional artist and, more recently, computer animator. I'm a native Californian born in 1970 and I've drawn and painted for as long as I can remember. I earned a degree in Fine Arts at the University of California, Irvine in 1993 and completed my fifth year of study in Bordeaux, France. A year after graduation I accepted an internship at Presto Studios, a computer video game developer in San Diego, where I eventually gained fulltime employment. I started as a conceptual designer using traditional media, but over time I learned various 2D and 3D applications on the Macintosh and became a production computer artist as well. I worked on 5 games at Presto, including two from the Journeyman Project series, Gundam 0079 and Star Trek: Hidden Evil, the latter two of which I creative directed. In 1998 I began studying 3D character animation on my spare time. I created the alien character now known as "Blit Wizbok" and my third test animation with this character, "Alien Song", inadvertently went on to achieve massive exposure and popularity via the internet. I'm still getting email about this thing. In the fall of 1999 I left Presto Studios and moved to the San Francisco Bay Area to pursue freelance work and break into feature film production. I did some freelance effects work on the film "Titan AE" and In early 2000 I got an offer from Pixar Animation Studios, where I now work as a fulltime animator. My position at Pixar is thanks in large part to "Alien Song".

Victor, this is a fabulous character. I just got A:M and saw your animations on the disk. This particular one is a riot. I think you did a very impressive job on the character and on the lip/motion sync. I have to tell you, my fav part of this character is the one-eyed "happy face" shirt. I would be interested to know the answer to Darklimit's query as well. Render on -Steve

First saw this on an A:M training video, great work Victor. Here's hoping Blit gets his own feature-length movie someday.

I love both the movie and this picture, in part by the fact that I agree with the ball that nailed her, I hate disco. By the way, did you know that Disco "music" can turn mice gay?
