Description

The HMS Britannia sits, in a body of water, between the sidewalk, of the world famous Las Vegas strip, and the front of the Treasure Island Hotel & Casino, Las Vegas, Nevada. You can see the sidewalk to the right and the ornate background, behind the ship, is the façade of the casino. When this photo was taken, this ship battled a similar sized pirate ship, to the left. The HMS Britannia sank, to the point, that only the masts, were above the water, as the pirates celebrated on the victorious pirate ship. This show may have changed in the last 12 years. Photo taken April 1998 - with a film camera and recently scanned. Thanks for stopping by, taking a look and for all your previous favs and comments. They are very much appreciated. Dana

Britannia rules the waves. Is that for real? Gorgeous and elegant prow piece, or whatever that front sculptured part is called, and tons and tons of ropes, capstans, futtocks, lanyards, masts, riggings, hawsers, crows' nests, and ancillary ship items depicted in this beautiful crisp image, Dana!
