Description

Hi Everyone, Here is a capture I smiled for hours over. I was on a walk looking for dragonflies and eating the ripe berries along a grassy system of trails in the woods near my home. Ahead I saw a large doe deer feeding, switching to action mode on my camera I managed a few fifty yard captures. Stepping closer she heard me or sensed all was not right. She bolted away and so I continued. Not ten steps up the trail my eye caught a motion to my left. Guessing maybe a mere fifty feet this time, ahead stood this yearling doe. She let me get three photos . This was the last, and the one I am most happy with. Four feet completely off the ground...the reason we call them skippers. -GB-
