Description

here is how a lot of the grave yard look also. One photo can not do it jusice at all. it so messed up it blow your mind. i understand like if this was in a ghost town now but this is just one or two miles as the bird fly from the capital building of Louisiana. It not a ghost town; it grown a lot in the past few years. The town grown around this place. not the best secton of town. Do not get a flat tire around here a night ; if you know what I mean. I got one or two more photos to up load of this place. In winter i going back here and do this place all day with tons of photos. Hope to get LSU here too and maybe that guy from face book if i can get to be friends with him????

this photo was taken avery close to where that tree way wraping around the tombstone. Here in this area we bury the dead on top the ground because of the water table would push the dead up if you bury them in the ground

you seem to explore these recumbent figures, like archaeologists peeled the ancient ruins. Very nice consistency ... but it seems sad ... that have become graveyards here?

Someday they will disappear and not be found again for a thousand years. Great capture! While you still can. ;D

The plants are providing the perpetual care that the cemetery has stopped providing.

Wonderful find Jock. I guess the city chooses to use it's limited resources on the living. It is a lovely place.

Blasphemy, nothing but sheer blasphemy, depicted in this photo of the neglect of the graveyard/cemetery, Jock. I'm surprised the ghosts of the dear departed don't rise up at night to go out and haunt the proprieters or maintenance workers of this property. Anyway, cool shot.

I was told that a lot of cemetery are in this same state of run down. it is sad and you are to be credited for bringing this to light. Well done Jocko

Another fantastic shot Jocko! It amazes me that people would let a graveyard be so neglected and rundown.

i looks like they used to build urbanizations here in spain ,all crossover, the neighbour as your watertab and the other one has your powerline. a friend of mine almost got killed because a powerline was running underneath the grass, and he wanted to work the soil soften it up and take out some trunks with the chainsaw and he almost hit the cable.
