Description

Bryce7 Pro/Photoshop My first image in Bryce7 Pro...have barely scratched the surface of the new program and it's additional features.I am loving the additional sunsettings,as well as the additional settings for cloud layers, and the additional features in the IBL lab...wow! This image includes one of my Bryce 6 ship models that I imported in and re-textured with some of the new metal textures. The structure is a combination of seperate lattices created using custom templates created in Bryce. The terrain material is one of the many provided by Bryce Master David Brinnen, part of the additional textures in Bryce7 Pro.The best part of this was the use of my custom sky to create the lighting for the scene. In the IBL lab I selected "use sky" setting, which rendered my sky for the sky dome and lit the scene with only that...creating a much more realistic scene overall. It came at a cost though...this scene at the size submitted took almost twenty hours to render at Premium setting! Postwork in Photoshop involved a slight levels adjustment, lights on the structure and signature. Thanks for viewing and any comments you wish to leave!

Oh wow, very nice indeed! I like that structure and yes, the sky and lighting look great. I've gotten Bryce 7 pro installed, but haven't gotten much time to play. I would be nice if it came with instruction on the new features....

Looks great, Neil. I routinely have 20 hour renders with Vue. I've always had a soft spot for Bryce, and have always upgraded to each new version - looks like I'll have to take the plunge again...

Bryce's rendering engine was never known for being fast :-) That being said, it definitvely paid off. Nice work.
