Description

Yesterday and today they are busy harvesting the currantfield. As you see they have a wonderful red machine, I find very fascinating :-) This year I made a collage for you to see the process. This it the redcurrant field, close to my nephews house (once my moms) and our house. Yesterday was in Copenhagen and couldnt take shots of the blackcurrant harvest, which is the closest one to our house, but I am glad I maneged to get shots of the machine anyway. Had to get up at 7 to take the shots LOL ! I hope you will like this collage. Have a lovely day. We have a little cloudy morning and we expect rain later today. Atleast I dont need to watering my garden :-) Thank you so much for viewing and commenting on my previous post and special warm thanks go to those, who added it to their favorites. :)

Hi Helle, a wonderful combination of the well done photos. I remember the harvests in the 50´s, so much dust, heat and the smell of the hard working horses, on the fields with wagon of wood, the harvest on the wagon very, very high and we children high above, wonderful. Here is rain, and he said: I am going to Denmark, to Helle, for her garden, smile, all the best Bernd

It seems so early for a harvest - at least for here when we have another 2 months before our rains begin. But I love this collage. It shows so much!

A beautiful collage of this harvest and look at the great bin of beautiful fruit they got. Lovely captures that were well worth getting up early for.

OH MY GOD! It IS like a giant red beetle. No wonder you liked this machine! I like it too. :) I have never seen anything like currant harvesting, but I did know that there are red and black ones. That is all I know, however! This collage is very interesting. I like the details and the various POVs...and the machine has "Victor" written on the front! Yeah, naturally I'd like that. I really like this collage. It's brilliant.

What a fascinating machine! When I was a kid, we harvested currants by going out into grandma's garden and picking them into a bowl. LOL! This is MUCH more efficient!
