Description

For Ian Thanks everybody for the ratings, comments and faves on my previous images. Don't forget that reviews, criticisms, advices, tips are also welcome ... If something's wrong or strange : perspective, pose, lighting ... let me know because I want to improve and I'm not able to criticize my own work having not enough basics to see my mistakes ! Thanks ... Made with DAZ, postwork with Photoshop CS.

Very beautiful pose and light!!! To make the image more perfect, I would add a little glow to the firelight itself. Wonderful work!

Very compelling use of light, shadow and pose here. I would have tried for a bit more of the face showing, but that's me.

Wonderful image, love the light on the character and the pose, but I agree with alessimarco, in that the flames themselves look too dark. Otherwise fantastic.

Very nice work! The lighting is great, but I too think the flames need something, maybe a soft yellow/orange point light. Other than that it looks fantastic!

well my friend...firstly I must say...full power to you for asking for critical comment.. that is how we all learn....If someone knows how to improve an image it is their responsibility as a member of an art community to share...for flames I bought a package from Ron Deviney called Fire and Smoke (available at Daz3d.com). It comes with a tutorial and makes amazing fires. I would like to see just a hint of light on the shadow side of her to accentuate her curves and too lift her ever so slightly out of the background I love the light catching in her eyes the pose is strong as well very nice my friend Carl

I like this very much. Your strength is your ability to form and express your concepts.  This is significant.  The idea is the foundation of a work and outweighs all technique and experience with tools. You are developing steadily and well within a brief time.  Continue to work.  Study the craft of artists whose work moves you.  Read lessons from those who teach well.  Keep returning to DS and diving into your craft.  You will advance where you need to so long as you stay at realizing what inspires you. Shadows are hard to master but they enrich imagery because they reflect our world as it is lit and shaded.  You should appreciate and enjoy your accomplishment here. As important as it is to recognize flaws in our own work and seek to improve ... it is also important to support our development when we have accomplished well at each stage of growth.  You have done well here and deserve to breathe a while and enjoy this stage of your artistic journey.

love the lighting. i agree on the flames.maybe set the flames on a seperate layer set to screen around 70% opacity or lower but not under 50%.that should brighten the colors some.
