Hi, I'm Marilyn. Â I've been posting here on RR for a few years now and thought it was time to update my profile. Â It's been wonderful learning so much from the amazingly talented people here. Â I've had the chance to meet many in person and some have become great and good friends. Â Starting with a Kodak Brownie camera when I was about 7 or 8, moving up to Instamatics, Polaroids, then the Pentax K1000 that really got me on the way, I've been looking at the world thru a lens for a long time. Â Got the bug honestly; my dad was a photographer and gave me the gene!! Â Digital changed the world and I jumped in with both feet. Â You would've gone thru 100's of rolls of film in one day the way we can shoot and delete all day long. Â Progess...it can be awesome sometimes.
At any rate, RR rocks, the talent is over the top and I'm just gonna keep on shooting!!
Thanks for looking and keep those cameras rollin'!!
peace.....marilyn

That's one sexy speedometer! No really, technology has this sort of "sexiness" to it in an abstract way, and well...the whole dashboard assembly of this beauty just crackles with visual excitement, lines, curves, more curves and all sorts of details that would drive a cyberpunk into rhapsodies of...well...whatever cyberpunks rhapsodize over. I love all of the details in this and you caught them incredibly well. NICE color too! Yeah, this is quite a sweet shot.

Terrific contrast and detail along with satin-like effects in this fine postworked presentation, M! It took me more than a few auto show junkets to make me start recording the names of the vehicles I was shooting. Memorizing them mentally just doesn't work.

It doesn't matter who made it - it is a great capture and a classic dash. Dana

It's a 56 Oldsmobile. You are SO not going to remember to identify the cars next year! LOL! :P This is a great shot!
