Description
Ultra powerful thunderstorms with such intense lightning ripped through this area today resulting in a power outage of about four and a half hours. I had at least two candles in every room for light. What fun like back to the prairie.... This was my favorite and has been tweeked as it was garrishly orangey:)

I still carry my hurricane lamps with me that I used in Texas when the power went off during the tropical storms and hurricanes in my area. I have a few candles too but we seldom lose power where I am. We get 60 mph winds in winter but nothing knocks out power here because in 25 years, I've only had to use the lamps or candles about 8 times. :-) Nice shot and postwork.
