Yeah, only he forgot to mention what kind of "excitement" he was talking about, or that those "interesting people" would mostly be trying to kill you. Now the Sarge is down, and you just saw your best friend's head explode when he took a bullet in the face. The Lt. just called in a "whiskey pete" airstrike on your position. A sticky situation is about to get a whole lot hotter. Just another day in the corps...
