Description

The M3 "Assassin"–A is a Light Infantry Support Vehicle designed by Professor T. Koslavsky under the Central Directorate of Military Industries, and was powered by a 12-cyl. Gaz diesel model V-2 500 hp engine - supplied by "Leningrad GBK". The primary armament was a modified copy of the French 37-mm Hotchkiss SA18. The "A" or "Amphibious" version was also fitted with two 9.62-mm Damiov forward mounted machine guns. Production of the experimental "Assassin" took place at a secret underground facility in Murmansk 1928, with a total of 260 units built.
