Description

Designed by Josef Hartwig (German, 1880-1955) while he was an instructor at Das Bauhaus. Chess set manufactured by Bauhaus, Weimar 1924. This Bauhaus product is an example of collaboration between the different workshops: Heinz Nosselt produced the corresponding chess table in the joinery workshop, while Joost Schmidt designed the accompanying promotional leaflet and posters. This example is from the developmental period of the Bauhaus chess set. It is the penultimate version. http://jonbuckley.com/ Adobe Illustrator Adobe Photoshop Strata 3D CX Comments and ratings are encouraged.
