Description

A remembrance, a sort of tribute and maybe a memorial to those beings who have lived with us, given us comfort, and loved us unconditionally. So many of us here at Rendo have lost beloved companion animals so this dedicated to you all and to those beloved pets. So where do they go when they leave here? For sure I have to go where they went because each of my beloved companions took a big part of my heart and soul, and if I go somewhere else when I die, how will I ever be whole again? I carry pieces of their heart in my heart, so I would think they feel the need for wholeness too. And so they wait .. And so I imagine a place like the Summerlands, where every soul is welcomed without controversy no matter who they were when they lived and breathed and walked next to us. Maybe it's a fantasy world where Fae and Elfin folk go when they weary of this life. Maybe they welcome the souls that cross between here and there. Maybe my Gracie Anne is there, waiting, watching. I picture our beloved companions to be spirit like, a little ghostly, because I believe they still move between this world and the next. Some of greet them in our dreams, some of us feel their presence now and then, some of us see them in our homes once in awhile. We keep them in our hearts, we share happy memories of them, and we never forget them. So where do they go when they leave here? I guess we won't know until we leave here, too. And that leaves us free to let our imaginations take flight and create fantasies and dreams and write stories, and remember. The background is made by JaneEden, thank you SO much Jane, it is utterly magical! Your work inspires me more then you can imagine. The Fae are all by Anita Lee, found at Fantasyattic. The white moth/butterfly is a brush which I've had for so long I don't even know where it came from. All the work was done in PSP. Thank you all for stopping to look at the previous post .. and add it to your faves, and to leave such wonderful, treasured comments.

what a pretty upload with deep thoughts of lost souls... I couldn't help but think of dogs that ment so much to me... and now I have a little mini pincher that is actually way more advanced than I thought he'd be by now, but he still thinks he can chew on my shoes when I'm not in them - I've tried all different ways of handling the situation and he'll go after them... He listens pretty good, but I really need to work on him obeying - comes with time and as far as the shoes? if I have to, I'll find a place for them out of his reach.

Reading your text, Rita, I felt tears pouring into his eyes, so when we are in close harmony with their animals, they take their heart! beautiful tribute to our lost companions ... we can find ourselves in the same corner of rest, we humans ... we soiled them a lot ... we touch our pets, cats, dogs, birds .. . We give so much in love ... Thanks for the poetic image. Good day Rita!

Here it is! HERE IT IS! This is really a masterpiece, r'Ta! It's so warm and lovely and inviting. The tiny home in a deep-forest tree has always been my deepest fantasy, and it gives my heart a moment of joy to see it here. The fairy statue on the left is a perfect pose, and the look on the dog's face is an echo of you thoughts! Masterpiece.

Great work Rita! And the title suits the image perfectly. The Summerlands is another term for the Celtic world of the Fey. And it is associated, curiously enough, with ancient Sumeria. Very fine image!!!!!

Rita this is such a fine tribute to not only your own beloved pets but to all of ours too. I knew you would do that you are always the selfless one the one who always has others thoughts and feelings in her mind. What a fine place you made hear and remember I could not have made the background without your amazing photography of the Hollow that you so generously gave me so that I can add some to my pictures in the book that I am working hard on right now. Keep this wonderful work coming my friend, you really do so superbly. hugs Jane and furryfolk xx
