Description

Jagdgeschwader 27 (JG 27) Afrika was a World War II Luftwaffe Geschwader (Squadron). It was most famous for service in the North African Campaign, supporting the Deutsches Afrikakorps. Transferred from service on the Russian front, the Geschwader and its Me 109 and later Me 110 fighters had an immediate impact on the campaign, which had up to then been dominated by the British Commonwealth's Desert Air Force. JG 27 became synonymous with the Afrikakorps and the campaign in North Africa, providing Rommel's army with fighter protection for virtually the whole Western Desert Campaign from late 1941 until November 1942. Excellent model & presentation. Nice blending with the backdrop. (So good of you to mention this, I don't like it when people use backdrops and "pretend" it's 3D work, or leave it to the viewer to guess.) 5*

This is a part of WWII aviation history that I am unfamiliar with, but an excellent illustration of it.

Nice work and info. And thank you so much for that video link.. stunning.. brought tears of joy from it's awesomeness. Watching them from the ground is great.. but can't compare to that video. That had been a dream of mine from childhood.. but alas, poor vision and no depth perception smashed any hope of ever being a pilot. That video is probably the closest I will ever get.
