Description

The hotel "Zum Ritter" in the old city of Heidelberg was build in the year 1592. In the great fire of 1693 almost the whole city was destroyed. This building survived the fire because it was built entirely of stone. Most of the other buildings were built from wood. Thanks for looking.

Wonderful, you can almost hear the foundations creaking with age.

At last Hendesse let us see some old architecture, and directly up front too!:) Thank you! And now we only have to wait a year or two until we are allowed to see another house! :( "One who are satisfied with little"

I've been enjoying your series of urban scenes although I don't comment on each individually. What a marvelous job you do of showing use the beauty of your city.
