Description

TG2. Terrains are a TG2 terrain and one I imported from my Terragen 0.9 files. The huge hurricane vortex background is a photo of course (wouldn't know how to achieve this in TG2!). Since I wanted waves with foam (which I also don't know how to achieve, I'm missing TG Classic here!), I just placed a warped, thin cirrus layer right above the water. Doesn't really convince me yet but well, it's a start at least. Thanks for looking and for your comments on my previous renders, and a special thank you for help in trouble shooting!

A wonderfully dramatic scene. There may be one or two purists over at Planetside forums who may disapprove of cloud photos on backboards, but for me its the end product that matters. After all, the background shader and image map shader are there for a purpose. I also like the initiative you've shown in using clouds for surf and waves. Well done and keep up the good work.

Great mood! The surf is convincing enough for me. BTW, if you go to the file download section at the Planetside forum you may find there's a cloud clip file that resembles your cloud photograph a lot.
