Description

Captured 3/13/10, at the Los Angeles Zoo in Los Angeles, California. A ZOOM view would be to your advantage. I had intended to post a collage of cutsie little meerkats today, but when my antiquated washing machine electrically quit on me, I had to spend a couple of hours over at a coin operated laundry facility instead of being on the computer doing my customary postwork, which put me in such a foul mood that I decided to post another series of pics depicting tons of people and baby strollers at the zoo just to express my frustration. I know that sounds strange coming from Mister jolly and urbane goodoleboy, but that's the way I get. Then again, I could always try kicking and screaming. Plus, I still have to do something about my washing machine, which calls for cool logic and reasoning. Anyway, if you like crowds, you should love this. Adios, amigos, thankx for coming by, and for any and all favorable comments and faves.

Ah the good old zoo, perfect for spotting this dangerous species in a recreational setting.A wide variety types and ages, and an unusual group of males who appear to be helping with the young. The wise monkeys have erected fence and rail to keep them out..... Great collage, and an intresting study of the human condition, even in this recreational setting we manage to perpetuate the ratrace.

Homo-goodness lol lotsa peeps there for sure:-) Everything from wheels, to walkers, people hugging and/or talking. Stand a-rounds and run a-rounds... great shots Harry! I like seeing the guy with the huge sketch pad...I couldn't concentrate on drawing much of anything in that crowd, so hats off to him!:-)

Quite a crowd there; your shots are excellent, and make them look a lot more inviting than they likely were in real life!

These two collages make me want to go to the zoo. Maybe tomorrow if the sun comes out in the morning. Dana

Another fine collage, Harry. Maybe Zoos are really for animals to watch humans?

I would drown in screaming frustration.. London Zoo, in the CENTER of the City of London (not on the edge in the Country), is so much less empty than this! An MG34 and some sandbags! That would sort it out.. Neil has it right, the monkeys have the right idea, they have erected walls to keep us out! Wise creatures.... Maddening, but very well taken collage, Harry! lol Rob

oh my Harry, hope your washingmachine will be in good health soon...smile..and I know this feeling all to well, there are those days, which just start with the first coffee instead of making your day making a big hot splash on your trousers...

Excellent shots! They make me want to stay far away from our zoo. Of course the highs reaching for 100 every day are another reason, but I don't love crowds. These are wonderful images of them though. My favorite is the third. I love the contrast between the crowded humans and the two apes. The humans all staring at the apes. The apes sauntering along. I wonder what the apes think of the humans. Now I'm off to check out some meerkats! I hope your washing machine travails have been sorted. I hate going to the laundromat.
