Description

Wednesday last week I took some snapshots from the rolling car in Copenhagens South/West end, which is where I grew up. Now both my sons live there. :) FULL SIZE has the best view. Have a pleasant day. We have a very peaceful cool, but not cold morning with clouds and a little sun and no wind. Just as I love it. All summer we had a couble of pigeons disturbed by a second male who wanted to take over the female. I saw no babies this summer. Maybe they were distroyed by this extra male. Thank you so much for viewing and commenting on my previous post and special warm thanks go to those, who added it to their favorites. :)

Nice place Helle:)) very similar with some places here in Lisbon, not the old nor the new, but in 1960/70...new buildings were like that...and allowed kids on the road, playing...nice to see and remember:))Great shot Helle!

I like this style very much, and it works perfectly with the composition. The lines are perfect and I love the brightness and the sense of color! European cities fascinate me--as you might guess--they're familiar to me, but also unfamiliar. I guess it's because I recognize them as cities, but they don't look American. It's the little things, like the lights on cables running down the middle of the street...the buildings separated from the street by only a sidewalk...and a lot of times, graffiti in a language I cannot speak. And in this shot, everything just works so perfectly, and the postwork is stellar. This is quite nice!

Beautiful image, with wonderful postwork! I love how the postwork emphasizes the lines of the architecture and the blocks of color on the street and sidewalk! This image pleases in lots of ways and gets my curiosity up too. Wonderful perspective and composition! I like the contrast of the long building with its straight lined roof standing in the bright sunlight against the shadowed buildings of various roof heights and shape, across the road. The line of overhead street lights not only adds greatly to the lines of the picture, but also binds the buildings together. I'm curious about the windows at the bottom. I remember a movies "My Sister Eileen", about two sisters who lived in New York City and had a basement apartment with windows like this. So that when they looked straight out of their windows, they saw feet walking by. Here it looks like they would see knees. I'm also curious about the boxes (patios?). Very interesting architecture, and superb capture and postwork!
