...actually a better title might be, skylarking with John.
This collage ties in with my preceeding upload, "Meet John".
What are we seeing? From upper left to lower right,
1. Completing his preflight checklist (all operational checks of the airplane prior to flight).
2. Taxiing toward takeoff position.
3. Holding for clearance from the tower to takeoff.
4. Smoke on, accelerating, becoming airbourne and picking up speed for a near verticle climb-out from the runway.
5. The dramatic beginning of his airshow routine.
6-8. Low passes captured during John's show.
For those interested, John's Harvard Mark IV is the airplane used to train many of the US Army Air Force, Navy and Marine Corps pilots, as well as many British, Canadian, Australian and New Zealand pilots to become fighter pilots during World War II. The US calls the Harvard an AT-6 Texan.

Awesome Bill. I've just been watching a US Navy DVD called "Speed and Angels"..a great title I thought with the duel meaning of Angels.....errr anyway I was fascinated to see what the pilot did before she took off with her 'Superior Officer' in the back to attempt her night landing on a carrier. Amazing stuff.
