Description
Here's the Regent Bowerbird, from Ken Gilliland's Songbird ReMix Australia Volume II, collecting objects to artistically arrange in a display (bower) to attract a mate. Also as described in Ken's Field Guide this is the only bird that actually mixes a paint (using it's saliva) & uses wads of leaves as paint brushes! An amazing artist of the bird kingdom.
I am really enjoying all of these amazing & beautiful birds of Austalia.

Superlative scene! Lights and leaves are beautiful indeed! Nice audience bird calmly watching this coolest of interviews! Birds are aware of audiences, including humans. For example, knowing they are being watched more intently by a photographer, sometimes they will clown for the camera. That's why WE get GREAT entertaining shots of birds! It is the nature of many wild birds to be actors. The males ARE colored brighter. Science says THIS attracts the attention of predators. Playing ACTOR vulnerable, the males then lead enemies away, SAVING the nest and family. There is a winged-actors stream near my home. Birds there delight me in many ways. When a bird plays actor for YOU, he may teach you something new. Scientist, Bill.
