Description
This is a little diff than the first one. The clouds shadows moved ove the land to change the lighting.
I did not post this one for I thought the other one was better. I am posting now for I got a lot of inforation on it as i posted a tread on another site. I was surprise to get feed back that was so helpful. here is the link

There is ghosts around here as people seen them. I did not see any and did not take any photos of one. I will not tell the stories here for the space and time here is limited. I will tell you on this link you fine out two movies had use this plantation as for they movies with Clark Gable. The movies was

In some of the photos you note after the fire there are some brick walls standing. they gone now. My son sent me the reason for this. "I cannot find the link now, but I had found a story about a "brick reclamation" project in which some bricks from there were used in another building in BR in the 1960's

good heavens, glad you are asking for permission to cross that electric fence. I tried hopping one once and it wasn't a pretty sight. :-) There are always stories with these old houses. In the old house I lived in for nearly 20 years, there were stories told about it. A friend was supposed to be able to channel spirits and came to see what was up. We did find out a few things that wasn't in the stories told already and from that day on, strange things went on. My daughter used to claim a strange man in a postman's uniform would walk her to school each day - a few feet behind her and then wave her into the school yard. He'd be there to walk her home in the afternoon. Years later, my grandson sat talking to this same man in the livingroom - so he claimed by description - and he was only 2 1/2 years old then...had not heard the stories yet. I'll check out your links, and thanks. BTW, I like this photo better. the change in light put a nice haze over the ridge.

What a shot! This has a really wonderful quality to it and like its companion, looks incredibly ancient. I will check out the links after I comment, but I wanted to comment first. I really like this shot. And I wonder if the flour on sheets has anything to do with what we'd now call Voodoo customs. Flour is often used as a part of an offering to the loa (spirits) and is sometimes used in order to invite possession. Voodoo, as we call it, mixes a number of West African belief systems into something new, and it was very, very popular among the slave population in the USA for a time...so I wonder if the flour custom managed to spread out. Anyway, this is a wonderful and moody shot! I like it quite a lot and I'm going to follow the links you've provided. I'm sure I'll find out a lot of interesting stuff!
