Description

Couldn't help but do this small teaser for an Update on one of my models for next weekend. As an ex Army Captain I guess one could title this.... late for duty!!.... and boy were they into punishment back then!! Item will be available on both Ontarget3D, and Cornucopia3D. The Gladiator Helmet, which is now available on Ontarget... will also be available on Corn next week. Late next week I will also post a new WIP using this updated item and showing off its integration with some other find models available by others, discussing how I will proceed and some helpful hints hopefully!

This picture is excellent and the soldier looks natural and more real than ordinary Poser figures. Of course this is partly due to that we are not seeing his face..but anyhow the pose is superb. This is interesting and cool and I am looking forward to see his clothes. Dynamic or conforming? ?

Vintorix.... The Roman soldier and pose are actually the Apollo figure and Chris's Roman officer of Adh3d. Didn't mean to give the impression that I was providing clothing. There are a number of period movies coming out of this period that I think a number of you will want to take on the challenge of creating scenes from and as I model and work up my own large canvases, I will discuss problems and solutions I am finding as well as what I find particularly useful in the asset works of others in creating my canvas efforts. I see far to many of the same thing in this gallery and hope that people will start taking more time with their creations. As many are aware, my models are not really meant for the buy, render, and post all in the same day creations. They are high poly, assets that generally require several items like my BenHur or Brugge Series. The 3 elements of BenHur are a good example of what I offer... the start of a creative journey where, for the Vue user, there are no plants to fill the scene, but rather the introduction of people, horses, soldiers, birds, flags, etc... all which push the artist.... including me.

Really well done. Interesting lighting and shapes. I agree that to many pictures on this site kind of look the same. It's almost like they just put the figure in the center and show off the clothing. Yours shows a story. - Bob

Fantastic scene, and yes especially the pose, lighting and eluding to a bigger scene just outside the entrance. A bit funny, as I did a similair test scene just yesterday only it was a gladiator stepping out into the arena. I admire your attention to detail and , of course, the ancient scenes and props you have been constructing. I've been eyeing that gladiator helmet. Fine work, Keep going!
