Here is my youngest granddaughter, Emmy, sitting on one of the sphinx's guarding Cleopatra's Needle on the Embankment in London.

I love ancient Egyptian sphinxes and this is a fantastic one! Is it an original? I'm guessing it's not as the front paws look like bronze that's been cast using more modern methods. Anyway, whether it's an ancient original or a modern reproduction doesn't matter. It's quite nice and I love the dappled along the headdress and face. Wonderful work!
