Description
I was coming out of the library and photographing a streetlamp in the sky. He was sitting down and leaning against the bricks of a discount store. He asked me what I was taking a picture of and I showed it to him on my viewfinder.. He said he wished he could have photographed EVERYTHING in his life before he ruined it all. Short and sweet he had a printing business and used his knowledge to print conterfeit money. He has spent the last 9 years in prison and showed me his probation papers to prove it. He's lost everything including a wife and a house on four acres and now only lives to drink and smoke and at age 48 has almost no teeth left..... I bought him two tall frosty beers in exchange for the permission to photograph him. He was elated and even took his shirt off but my camera ran out of battery supply.....Drat he had amazing tattoos and we got along fine.

It's really too bad that some people have learned life's lessons the hard way and this man has certainly lost a great deal... He may be homeless, but he has a rather interesting face, one, like you found out, hides a story.

Great story here sis.... Every homeless person has a story even we who aren't homeless do as well I think it admirable of you to talk to him and learn his story and you sharing it with us........... I bet the beers made his day.......... I know he made yours....... Thanks for taking time to share it with us Maybe when you go back you will see him again This tugs at my heartstrings Hugs Susan~

I have met men like him downtown. They are just different. They don't seem to harm anyone bu themselves. Great character shot.
