Description
Kakigouri (かき氷) is a Japanese dessert made from shaved ice flavored with syrup.
Popular flavors include: strawberry, lemon, green tea, melon, "blue-Hawaii" and colorless syrup(Mizore). Some shops provide colorful varieties by using two or more different syrups. To sweeten Kakigouri, condensed milk is often poured on top of it.
Kakigouri is described in essay "MAKURA-NO-SOUSHI" (writen by SEISHOUNAGON)1,000 years ago.
They store natural ice until summer and shaved it with syrup.
Because ice of the summer was a precious thing, the common people were not able to eat.
Be careful about things holding in the left hand of Fujiko!!
かき氷は、シロップで風味付けをした削った氷で作られる日本のデザートです。
人気のフレーバーには、イチゴ、レモン、抹茶、メロン、ブルーハワイ そして 無色のシロップ（みぞれ）があります。2つ、もしくはそれ以上のシロップを使ってカラフルなメニューを持つお店もあります。さらに甘くするためにその上にコンデンスミルクをトッピングしたりします。
かき氷は1000年前の清少納言の随筆「枕草子」に記述されています。
天然の氷を夏まで貯蔵しそれを削って蜜をかけて食べていました。
夏の氷は貴重なものなので、庶民は食べることはできませんでした。
