Description

Today, I propose to you a dreamy image inspired by the life of Dante Alighieri. Dante Alighieri is the famous author of the Divina Comedia and the Vita Nuova. He lived during the 13rd century in Florence but had to flee and died in Ravenna. In his books, he describes his platonic love for Beatrice. Some peoples say that Beatrice was a real woman, known as Beatrice Portinari. He met her very young and it was love at first sight for Dante. Unfortunatly, Beatrice was to be married with another man and never knew about Dante's love. Another people say that Beatrice is the description of an ideal woman. For them, Dante describes in his book the transformation of men thanks to the power of love and how they reach a higher level. As Dante liked alchemy, this theory might be possible. Now, it is up to you to decide : romance or alchemy? ***************** Credits : statue of Dante Alighieri : me picture of the young woman : Eirian-stock (@deviantart.com) picture of the garden : Fairiegoodmother stock (@deviantart.com) picture of the pentagram :glyphs_backgrounds by Caballus (RMP) and a lot of postwork ;-) Thanks to all for your support ! I've read the Divine Comedy years ago plus some variant of Inferno. I say that this instance is a bit of both romance and alchemy
