Description

After passing through the rolling foothills of the eastern Sacramento Valley, US highway 50 climbs through historic gold country around Placerville then follow a winding river up and up into the Sierra Nevada mountains - the trees get taller, the mountains tower higher and higher. The road narrows to two lanes and winds back and forth clinging to the side of one mountain or the next. Then you come around a sweeping curve and there, on the horizon is Lake Tahoe. Mrs Sea_Dog always said that Tahoe was her favorite place in all the world - we'd celebrated anniversaries and birthdays and just plain old vacations here, so this first view was an emotional experience for me - the first time in almost four decades she wasn't there to share it with me. Enjoy.

This is so sad that Mrs Seadog is not there to share this view with you my friend,but i am certain she is glad that you revisited a favorite spot that you visited before as Husband and wife. A breathtaking scenic view and capture my friend.
