Description

HAMMERHEAD MRCA. Picture 1 – Top Right Waiting in the hanger for the start of its first test flight is the top secret Hammerhead fighter developed by SWORD, the Scientific World Organisation for Research and Development for the newly formed United States Aero-Space Forces. Designed to fly in much the same way as a conventional fighter the Hammerhead also has the ability to operate outside the Earth’s atmosphere as well as inside it and has been designed as an MRCA or Multi-Role Combat Aircraft. Picture 2 – Bottom Right After taking to the skies two Hammerhead fighters are put through their paces to determine their aero-dynamic capabilities when fully fuelled and armed in skies over the test area. Picture 3 – Bottom Left After successful completion of the aero-dynamic flight tests a Hammerhead fighter climbs into Earth orbit and releases its full spread of Arrow, Javelin and Spear missiles for a test firing of its missile launch system. Whilst only carrying twelve missiles on this test flight, Hammerhead also has the ability to carry an additional four missiles on its wingtip missile mount pylons. Picture 4 – Top Left With the missile firing test successfully completed the Hammerhead MRCA dives back into Earths atmosphere at supersonic speeds and commences the next part of the test flight to determine its role as a high speed combat ground support bomber. After successfully deploying two of its four bombs precisely on target Hammerhead releases the final two toward the test targets. “With the ability to fly at supersonic speeds, the ability to carry up to sixteen missiles of varying types, a load of up to four 500 KG bombs containing various types of munitions and having both an upper and lower tri-barrel, 20 mm rapid fire cannon in retractable mounts, Hammerhead is the perfect vehicle for all your aero-space combat needs” - (Quote taken from the sales brochure). Author/Artists Notes Once again to get the four picture merge used in this presentation, and keep picture quality via Photoshop I had to drastically reduce the size of the original pictures which means they are not as big as I would like. The plan now is to select what I feel is the best of the four pictures used in this presentation and to present it on its own at full size in my gallery here at Renderosity tomorrow. Hammerhead was built using Power Fusions Flight Vehicle Construction Set. I hope you have enjoyed this presentation of the Hammerhead MRCA.
