Description

Pushing the limits of my camera and photo-editing program with a hand-held capture of the night sky just above the roof of my parent's house! when i tired to 'clean' this image it lost the mood. so I undid the clean and I'm posting it as is. Thanks and have a great day! Mike

Great night shot Mike often there are so many lights of the town the sky loses its appeal.. I love it at our house in the country, the sky is so clear on a good night there are so many stars you don't see in town!!

nice shot man. But if you want to do this you should at last get a small tabletop like tripod and use the self timer or a remote to trigger the camera. Also if you can adjust the ASA/ISO to about 300. Set your f-stop to the largest apeture setting 1.6 or 1.2 if you have that good a lens. Use a 50mm or widest anlge lens and then use the slowest shutter speed possible. angle the camera completly towards the sky blocking any close by ambient light if possible by placing the camera and tripod inside of a box enclosure. then you might even capture some shooting stars streaking across you view. if they are too dark ncrease the ASA that will also help add grainieness though.

Super shot!, the grain does add to the mood!, sometimes the mark of a great artist is not what he does, it's what he doesn't do!!!!
