Description

Someone clever once said that when life deals you lemons - just add salt and tequilla. Well, at the moment I am running out of salt and tequilla... The past few weeks have been challenging but I do seem to be getting a grip on most lose ends and hopefully I'll be back on a more regular basis! I want to say thank you to all my dear friends who checked on me via sitemail or e-mail. I really appreciate it deeply. Stay well! Hugs Carin xx (Oh - the lemon tree is in my garden...)

You may recall I said RUM. Oh well, I'm glad to see you are on the mend and outside again. Wonderful lighting on this. Don't rush, Carin, just take thing easy for a while.

I have to remind myself that it is coming up on spring in your part of the globe. Love citrus trees, lucky for me my neighbor has lime, lemon, and orange trees, all of which overhang the fence into my yard. Wanted to drop a note, but the comments being turned off your last post I took as a "Do not disturb" kind of thing. So glad your feeling better :)

Beautiful ... the detail of the texture on the lemon is great. We just planted a Meyer lemon, and a mandarin last summer. We have several little green ones on both bushes at present, and am hoping for a taste of them both whenever they ripen. Hope your life improves quickly. We all go through such things at times.

I love the textures, the shining on it and the lemon pure ;-) Fantastic shot, Carin. So nice you have such a tree in your own garden!

This is superb, and I'm really glad that things are slowly beginning to settle. Odd how life interferes with living at times, but hopefully things are going quite well. Now, as for this picture! WOW! I love the freshness and the intensity of the colors, and the shape of the lemon: nicely foreshortened. And funny thing about lemons...they contain more sugar than oranges! Okay, they also contain more citric acid too, which is why you pucker so much rather than notice the sweetness. Funny how that works. I just love nature, especially when pretty things taste good, make you pucker, or go good with Tequila, (or Vodka if you're not one of those Vodka purists who refuses to mix it--actually I'm one of those annoying vodka purists who will never mix it, but I'll sniff a lemon afterward.)
