Hi, I'm Marilyn. Â I've been posting here on RR for a few years now and thought it was time to update my profile. Â It's been wonderful learning so much from the amazingly talented people here. Â I've had the chance to meet many in person and some have become great and good friends. Â Starting with a Kodak Brownie camera when I was about 7 or 8, moving up to Instamatics, Polaroids, then the Pentax K1000 that really got me on the way, I've been looking at the world thru a lens for a long time. Â Got the bug honestly; my dad was a photographer and gave me the gene!! Â Digital changed the world and I jumped in with both feet. Â You would've gone thru 100's of rolls of film in one day the way we can shoot and delete all day long. Â Progess...it can be awesome sometimes.
At any rate, RR rocks, the talent is over the top and I'm just gonna keep on shooting!!
Thanks for looking and keep those cameras rollin'!!
peace.....marilyn

How interesting! When I first looked at it I thought it was such a "Denise" image! Very well seen and captured girlfriend! (Keep the tequilla stock up!)

This is great and quite confronting. It reminds me of someone's view from being in prison. The artwork I posted was by Reg Mombassa. It is a tapestry and quite large. Its on display at the Melbourne Museum. Reg did the artwork for the surf brand Mambo, and was also the founding member of the band Mental As Anything! Mental As Anything were kind of like an Oz version of the B52's

Love this! Way cool. Tara is right, scrolling up and down creates quite a trippy feeling. Like this a lot!

OMG, sterling perspective and repetition unleashed in this remarkable upward looking capture, Marilyn! Love the color and texture effects, especially on the wall in the center.
