Description

Tammin loved to play his lute and sing. He didn't make much money at it but he loved to do so anyway. Many nights he would stop somewhere, by the side of some road, and play in the dark. He never failed to gain an audience. Tonight it was not a human audience but he played and sang for them just as if they were. He had found that no matter whom he played for (or what for that matter) they were always happy to sit and listen and he knew that what he was doing was a good thing. Tonight it was for a small group of animals that just seemed to gather around him to listen. He sang them a song about his travels and then he sang them a love song. They sat and listened intently. As he sang and played, this time, all of the sudden one of the ducks that sat in front of him began to quack loudly. At first it was surprising and he thought maybe the duck was not pleased with his song. Then he noticed that the quacking was in time with the music and he realized the duck was, in his own way, trying to sing along. Tammin almost broke out laughing but realized that maybe Mr. Duck might be insulted, misunderstanding that he wasn't making fun of him with laughter but was most pleased that his song had seduced such singing from the duck as well. What an honor. To be serenaded by a duck.
