Description

Backyard This is a Fragrant Chanterelle look alike (Cantbarellus laterius) One of the reasons way you shouldn’t eat wild mushrooms unless you are an expert! The Fragrant Chanterelle are like this but clustered and are edible, were the Cantbarellus laterius is single stalked and it does not say if it is edible or not. Interesting shot, Kim! I know two kinds of Chanterelle, and them we eat. Maybe that this species is not growing in the Netherlands. And I would really not eat of this one from you, Kim ;D

beautiful itsn't it? My son and his family gather and sell wild mushrooms to restaurant buyers. The buyers are experts and often many of the mushrooms my son picks that he is sure are safe, are rejected as toxic. Best to leave this stuff to the experts. :-)
