Description

I was at the Swedish hospital in Seattle earlier today waiting for Lizzibell to get done seeing her Dr. I was really bored so I wondered around with my camera trying to find something to take a picture of. I was looking at a wall covered with pictures of Ladies who had graduated from the nursing school at the hospital when I saw Miss Betty Lou Bedford. Now to be honest she probably caught my eye because she is so beautiful. So I put my camera as close to her as I could to get this picture because it was just a 2 x 2 picture under a glass frame. All I know about her is that she is beautiful with a beautiful smile and she graduated in 1947 so if she was in her early 20’s at the time she would probably be about 85 now. I wonder if she is still alive. I bet she did her part to make the world a lot better for a lot of people. I also bet she is still very beautiful. This picture is not very clear but I love it. And this is the ranting of a poet in search of something

The face of an angel. Many wounded soldiers wrote about waking up and seeing a face like this and knowing they would be all right. My step-mother was one of these. Inspired by the war she also became a nurse.

Very beautiful, Randy! I know that hospital that you write about. I had surgery there back in 1968...
