A project that I have been working on for the past four years, is now starting to take shape. This is a test set of a typical marine base found on Dairen IV, well, partially. This is the defensive wall that is typical around all frontier bases. The main towers are the base's Doppler radar systems. This is based on rj001's Moon Base Theme. The ground guns take on any threat cross the frozen land, whilst the guns atop the rampart attack any airborne threat as well as any ground threat. The S.A.M. battery above atop the planetary gangway are a quick kill or final stand defense. Though this set is created as a main back drop (mainly stills), there is a scene in the movie where two of the characters are found outside the defensive wall, working on one of the ground cannon's sensor system. ... what, a spoiler? ... Nearly every model that you see in this scene was purchased from rj001's store, here at Renderosity, save for the missile tubes found atop the planetary gangway. Those were built by Reorom, form TurboSquid.com. The rampart were 2d planes with a texture added. This image was rendered in Bryce 7, personal learning edition.
