Description

I have a story I would like to share.....Many years ago I had the opportunity to follow my dreams and go to art school. But because I didn't believe or have faith in myself I never did. Instead I studied electronics engineering technology in college and graduated at the top of my class landing a pretty good job at a large telecommunications company in Toronto Canada. A couple of years ago I became very ill and could not work for almost a year and a half....It was during this time that I found Renderosity. To be totally honest, it was a complete fluke. I was fascinated with these new art forms and the talent & imagination of the artists. Learning Poser & PhotoshopCS3 saved my sanity through this time peroid...I know this will sound strange but even though it was the worst year of my life it was in a small sense the best year of my life...After 25 some odd years ( yup, I'm an old broad but young at heart ) I have been reunited with my first true love...Art. I have been given a second chance. I'm back at work now but on a reduced work week...I don't have the time I used to have for my art...but what really matters is that I do have my art :) I guess what I'm trying to say is that sometimes life is very difficult & painful but there is a light at the end of the tunnel. Don't give up hope. Don't be afraid to believe in yourself. Just don't give up :)

I can relate. You will see a similar story at my homepage. What I didn't say there was that I too went through a long period of pain as I recovered from surgery and it was during this time that I found such a release in my return to arts. But work has never been as satisfying since. Beautiful punk girl with stunning eyes.

There's nothing strange about finding your way back to your true path. In fact, it would have been strange if you hadn't (considering how these things work their way into our lives)... also a shame, you should be doing this. Lovely image.

Your story sounds similar to mine and I am so glad that I found digital art it just absorbs me these days. This is a beautiful image you have created here and I love those wings.

Thank you for sharing. I only discovered Poser about 7 years ago when I quit work to become my wife's full-time caregiver. I can't draw or paint, but I now have this as a creative outlet which is helping to keep me sane also. I think a lot of us came to (or came back to) art of whatever kind in order to keep us sane. Or as sane as artists are, anyway. :) And the image is very beautiful.
